Department’s move to save about $150,000 annually

LAKEWOOD, Friday May 5, 2023 — The Colorado Department of Revenue Taxation Division is updating its payment system and is removing the PayConnexion payment option because the program is being sunset by its owner.

The move, which will be complete after 4 p.m. June 29, is expected to affect 50,000 individual and business taxpayers who currently have payments scheduled through this payment option. The change will also affect over-the-phone payments made via PayConnexion’s phone payment option.

Coloradans can still use the Division’s other online payment options, which include Revenue Online Direct Debit, credit card, debit card, e-check, cryptocurrency and ACH Credit. For a complete list of payment options, visit Revenue Online.

The move will save the Taxation Division about $150,000 per year and will free up staff members for other business items, making the Division more responsive.

Coloradans who have future payments scheduled through PayConnexion will need to reschedule their tax payments via Revenue Online. Taxpayers need to create a Revenue Online account at least 48 hours before the first payment is made, if they do not already have an account.

Taxpayers can contact the EFT Helpline by phone at (303) 205-8333, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. To visit a Service Center for help, please schedule an appointment
